Request: Variances in the P-D zoning district, as follows: 1) To allow the construction of a two story addition (attached garage and accessory dwelling unit) with a front setback of 20.6 ft. in lieu of 30 ft. 2) To allow a separate entrance to an accessory dwelling unit at the front in lieu of the side or rear.

Hearing: SYNOPSIS: Staff described the proposal, including the location of the property, the site plan, and photos of the site. Staff provided an analysis of the six (6) criteria and the reasons for a recommendation for approval. Staff noted that it received no commentary in favor of the application, and one (1) commentary in opposition to the application. The applicant agreed with the staff presentation and had nothing further to add. There was no one in attendance to speak in favor or in opposition to the request. The BZA unanimously recommended approval of the variances by a 5-0 vote, with one absent and one seat vacant, subject to the three (3) conditions in the staff report.
