Request: Variances in R-1AA (single family-10,000 sq. ft. lots) zone to park a recreational vehicle (RV) as follows: 1) On the side of the residence in lieu of the rear yard; 2) Zero (0) ft. from side property line in lieu of 10 ft. (NOTE: RV is existing in violation of Zoning Regulations).

Hearing: The applicant wants to park a recreational vehicle within the side yard in lieu of the rear and 0 ft. from the side property line in lieu of 10 ft. The applicant is currently in code violation. In the past the BZA, Staff, and the Board of County Commissioners have not been supportive of these types of requests due to the visual impact, size of the vehicles, and the possible encroachments onto adjacent properties. Staff received (5) commentaries in favor of this request (8) in opposition. There was no opposition present at the public hearing.
