Request: Special Exception and Variances in the R-1AA zoning district as follows: 1) Special Exception to allow a guest house/pool cabana. 2) Variance to allow a swimming pool 20 ft. from the NHWE line in lieu of 35 ft. 3) Variance to allow a wood deck 12 ft. from the NHWE line in lieu of 35 ft. 4) Variance to allow a guest house/pool cabana 23 ft. from the NHWE line in lieu of 50 ft. 5) Variance to allow a covered porch 39 ft. from the NHWE line in lieu of 50 ft.

Decision: Approved

Hearing: The applicant is requesting to construct additions to the rear of their house and a new swimming pool/pool deck. Staff explained the need for the variances, the site layout, the other variances in the area, and provided site photos. The applicant did not speak at the hearing, nor did any persons in opposition or in support of the request. The BZA felt the request was in line with what has been approved on the lake in that area and approved the request.
