Applicant / description: One More Child Shade Cottage providing essential services to vulnerable children and struggling families across Florida. This Letter of Intent outlines our proposal to construct a modest open-air "Shade Cottage" behalf of One More Child, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated toon the property identified by Folio Number 30-5003-000-1231, in Miami-Dade County. We are seeking an Administrative Modification to approve this project, in alignment with the property's historical zoning considerations and current use as a facility supporting children's welfare. The proposed Shade Cottage is designed as a simple, open-air structure intended to provide a small shade shelter from the intense Florida sun, enhancing the safety and comfort of the children and families served there. The structure will measure approximately 1,368 square feet and will be constructed in a cottage-type basis, consistent with prior approvals for similar welfare-oriented developments on this site. This addition will a\ect only a minimal portion of the property-approximately 1/2 of 1% of the total 270,420 square feet-ensuring negligible impact on the overall land use. Furthermore, the Shade Cottage would represent just over 5% of the square footage of existing structures currently on the property, maintaining harmony with the established footprint.
