Request: Special Exception in A-2 zone for modifications and expansions to existing airplane runway. (NOTE: Applicant proposes a new 50 ft. x 4000 ft. paved runway and additional hanger space).

Hearing: The Staff Report and recommendation is located on Pages 44 through 46. One commentary was received in favor and three opposed. The opposition was located more than one mile to the north of the subject property. It was noted the new airport runway would be located on the southern end on the property, and flights would take place in an east/west direction versus a north/south direction. One area businessman addressed the BZA with clarification on the location of the airport. He stated he was in favor of the request. There was no opposition in attendance at the public hearing.
