Request: Variance in P-D zone to build room addition (master bedroom) to single family residence 30 ft. from rear property line in lieu of 50 ft.

Decision: Approved

Hearing: The applicant has an uniquely shaped triangular lot. The proposed addition is an extension of the master bathroom on the northern side of the house. The extension encroaches into one confined area in the depth of the rear yard versus traversing the width of the rear yard which is common in other rear yard Variance requests. The abutting property owner to the rear submitted a letter of no objection. The homeowner's association also submitted a letter of no objection. There was no opposition present at the hearing. Due to the shape of the lot, the location of the house on the lot and the small encroachment factor, the BZA felt this was an approvable variance.
