Request: Variance in the P-D zoning district to allow a generator 3.2 ft. from the east side property line in lieu of 10 ft.

Hearing: SYNOPSIS: Staff described the proposal, including the location of the property, the site plan, and photos of the site. Staff provided an analysis of the six (6) criteria and the reasons for a recommendation for approval. Staff noted that no comments were received in support and none in opposition. The applicant noted the property is a corner lot and they do not want the generator to be visible from the road, so the proposed location makes more sense for visibility, and due to the location of the electrical connection. The BZA acknowledged the visibility issue. There was no one in attendance to speak in favor or in opposition to the request. The BZA recommended approval of the variance by a 6-0 vote, subject to the five (5) conditions in the staff report.
