Summary of the decision
SE-02-05-034 — Guillermo MacIas
Request: Special Exception in I-2 (heavy industrial) zone to allow mobile home to remain as a night watchman's residence for security purposes and Variance to allow mobile home to remain 6 ft. from rear property line (abutting an alley) in lieu of 10 ft.
Decision: Approved
Hearing: The mobile home is already on the property with tenants residing there. The violation was caught by Code Enforcement during pro-active code enforcement measures in the Taft area. The applicant owns a paint business on-site and has experienced theft and vandalism. The mobile abuts an alley at the rear of the property, where the mobile home is located. The area at the rear is blocked off by a wall, so that the mobile home cannot be seen off-site. The applicant agreed with the proposed five-year approval. There was no opposition.
