Hearing: "The applicant wants to use the site as an Uhaul rental, used car lot and automobile towing storage yard. The auto towing storage yard requires a Special Exception, but the other uses are permitted by-right. Staff informed the BZA of the intent of this facility. Staff advised the BZA that this request should not be approved if this would evolve into a junk yard. However, Staff advised the BZA that the conditions were meant to prohibit a junk yard use on this site. The applicant stated he met with the neighbors and addressed their concerns. The BZA felt the proposed use was not contrary to the revitalization efforts along South Orange Blossom Trail. In addition, the conditions as proposed would protect the residents to the east. Staff received seven (7) commentaries in opposition and two (2) commentaries in favor."
