Summary of the decision
SE-07-06-027 — HIRSCHY DEVELOPMENT GROUP LLC
Decision: Approved
Hearing: The applicant gave a presentation. He advised the BZA they tried to compromise with the neighbors and were willing to modify their proposed hours of operation. However, he felt a wrought iron fence along the front property line was not consistent with other uses along Lee Road.
Four residents spoke in opposition. They had concerns about crime, privacy, noise and hours of operation. One of the speakers was a deputy sheriff who patrolled the Lee Road corridor. He advised the BZA that proper lighting should be required and the sight should be visible from Lee Road to help the Sheriff's Office police the area.
The BZA concluded the request was reasonable but imposed conditions that restricted hours of operation, lighting, landscaping along the front property line and no trespassing signs.
