The applicant discussed the background of the key events that led to constructing the addition without permits. There was no one in attendance to speak in favor or in opposition to the request. Code enforcement staff discussed the history of citation. The BZA discussed the request, determining the request is minimal to construct a sizable addition and recommended a motion for denial of the Variance by a 2-3 vote, and an additional second motion for a recommendation of approval of the Variance by a 3-2 vote, with one absent and one seat vacant, subject to the four (4) conditions found in the staff report.
