Request: Variances in P-D zone to construct a single-family residence 52 ft. in height in lieu of 35 ft. and to construct up to 21,545 sq. ft. of detached ancillary residential uses as follows: 1) Guest quarters/pool cabana with kitchen: a. 9,545 sq. ft. of floor area in lieu of 1,000 sq. ft; and b. Located in front of principal residence in lieu of side or rear. 2) Detached gymnasium: a. 35 ft. in height in lieu of 15 ft; b. 12,000 sq. ft. of floor area in lieu of 1,000 sq. ft. and c. Located in front of principal residence in lieu of side or rear. 3) To erect a wrought iron fence 6 ft. in height with 7 ft. high cast stone piers in lieu of 4 ft. within the front yard setback.

Hearing: The applicant wants to construct a single-family residence 52 ft. in height in lieu of 35 ft., a 21,545 ft. of detached ancillary residential uses, and erect a wrought iron fence 6 ft. in height with 7 ft. high cast stone piers in lieu of 4 ft. height within the front yard setback. None of the proposed development encroaches into any setbacks required for the subdivision. Variances requested are strictly for height, square footage, and location. The requests are similar and compatible with current development and other approvals granted along Lake Butler and within the Reserve @ Lake Butler Sound Subdivision. A letter of approval from the Lake Butler Sound Architectural Review Board was submitted with this application. There was no opposition to this request.
