The BZA noted that a number of neighbors were in support of the request. They also discussed the number of similar prior variance approvals in the area and the unique shape of the lot. The BZA believed that approval of this variance would not have a negative effect on the neighborhood. Staff received six (6) commentaries in favor of the application and none in opposition and there was no one present to speak in favor or in opposition to the request. The BZA unanimously recommended approval of the Special Exception, subject to the four (4) conditions found in the staff report.
