Hearing: The property is almost two acres in size. The driveway to the garage is about 175 feet from the road. At the end of the driveway is a 500 square foot garage built many years ago. The applicant has a Suburban and a van that will not fit inside the garage. He wants the carport addition to protect the vehicles from the elements. There is plenty of open space between the proposed addition and the house on the neighbor's lot next to the driveway. About one dozen neighboring residents forwarded their approvals to the request. There was no opposition. The applicant agreed to the condition.
