Hearing: This is a request to construct a campus-style community center with outdoor recreational facilities. Staff gave a brief overview of the surrounding area. Staff recommended approval, subject to the conditions in the Staff Report. The BZA had concerns about the classroom buildings being too close to the residential zoned properties to the north. They felt a greater setback should be imposed. The applicant agreed to setback his classroom buildings. The BZA also felt that outdoor lighting for the playing fields should be prohibited and a detailed landscaping plan should be required. The applicant agreed. The BZA approved the request with the modified conditions of approval. There was no public opposition at the hearing.
