Hearing: The applicant addressed the BZA on their proposed Adult Daycare Center. A member of the Orlo Vista Community Association, and a member of Robinswood Community Improvement Association were present at the hearing and spoke in opposition. The community members stated they were working with the Code Enforcement Division to improve living conditions in the community. Approval of this request would change the residential character of the neighborhood and set a non-residential precedent. The BZA raised concerns of a commercial intrusion inside a residential neighborhood and the precedence that would be set if the request is approved. After further discussion the BZA denied the request stating the use would be detrimental to the area and would be better located in a commercial district.
