Summary of the decision
SE-99-10-002 — Wellington Enterprises Ltd.
Request: Renewal of 11/4/93 Special Exception approval to park a sales office in conjunction with development of Windsor Hill Subdivision (original approval expired on 11/4/95).
Decision: Denied
Hearing: This is the second request to renew an approval to use a sales trailer to sell lots within a subdivision. The trailer had been in use for approximately eight (8) years. Staff felt the applicant should remove the trailer and use a model home as is typically used in single family subdivisions. There were two (2) persons who spoke in opposition. They felt the trailer devalued their properties. Also, they felt the site was in disrepair. The applicant informed the BZA that sales were slow and the residents were aware of the trailer when they purchased their homes. The BZA felt the sales trailer was inappropriate for this area and recommended the applicant construct a model home instead.
