Request: "Variances in the R-1AA zoning district as follows:

Decision: Approved

Hearing: "Staff noted that the actual edge of water versus the Normal High Water Elevation (NHWE) is a separation of between 115 and 180 ft. Also, while the maps show water across the applicant's property, the land is actually high and dry. It is the sever drop in elevation from where the residence is located to the NHWE that is the issue. Regarding the shed, the main issue is its location in a drainage easement. Also, the need for Variance #7 is due to their neighbors shed encroaching onto the subject property. Staff noted that the applicant had provided letters of support from the residents of six (6) abutting and neighboring properties.
