Decision: Approved
Hearing: SYNOPSIS: Staff described the proposal, including the location of the property, the site plan, and photos of the site. Staff provided an analysis of the six (6) criteria and the reasons for a recommendation for denial. Staff noted that two (2) comments were received in favor of the application, and no comments were received in opposition. The applicant described that the rationale for constructing the addition to provide space for her family and mentioned the pool has been removed. Furthermore, the contractor did not consider the lot is small and did not pull permits as implied. The new contractor is pulling the permits. There was no one in attendance to speak in favor or in opposition to the request. Code enforcement was present but chose not to speak due to BZA had no questions. The BZA discussed the request and determined that the applicant made every attempt to complete project with permits, and unanimously recommended approval of the variance by a 7-0 vote, subject to the five (5) conditions in the staff report.
