Request: Special Exception in R-1 (single family-5,000 sq. ft. lots) zone to expand religious use by constructing new 5,000 sq. ft. auditorium. (NOTE: Auditorium which will seat up to 275 members to be used for worship and assembly).

Hearing: The Staff Report and Recommendation is located on Pages_____ The pastor of the church addressed the BZA and spoke to the items contained in the proposed conditions of approval. He stated the church was prepared to comply with those conditions. He stated they would have an exterior finish made of block that would match the building. They don't have daily activities at the church; services and other ancillary activities take place 2-3 times per week. A BZA member noted their parking fell short of requirement by about one-half dozen spaces. The applicant agreed to provide the missing spaces and comply with Code. There was no opposition to this request.
