Summary of the decision
SE-13-03-005 — Tuoi Van Luu
Request: Special Exception in a R-1A zone to convert the existing building for religious use facility. No new construction is proposed (Note: This is a result of Code Enforcement).
Decision: Approved
Hearing: Andy Luu spoke for the owner of the property. He stated that He did not want to construct the masonry wall or masonry fence along the western property line. BZA discussed at length why staff had stipulated that in the conditions of approval as well as providing for 6 ft. wood fence along the north property line. There was a history of people using that property as a cut-through to Fir Dr.
A community meeting has held on February 4th 2013. Several members of the community attended. The property owner directly west of the subject property requested that a 6ft. masonry wall or fence be constructed. Other residents were concerned with traffic.
No one from the community spoke in favor or in opposition to the request.
Staff received three commentaries in opposition of the request.
The BZA unanimously approved the request with 10 conditions.
