Summary of the decision

VA-02-01-006 — Mark Tremonti

Request: Variance in P-D zone to erect single family residence 45 ft. in height in lieu of 35 ft.

Decision: Approved

Hearing: The Reserve at Lake Butler Sound is a relatively new subdivision platted in November of 2000. The subject residence is the second house under construction. The architect, Mark Nasrallah, stated he will be designing the homes in the subdivision, many of which will be large with unique character designs. He submitted a letter with no objection from adjacent property owner David Segal. A letter of no objection was also secured from the community association. The height Variance is confined to portions of the roof line at 38 feet, and two towers - one at 40 feet and the other at 45 feet. The residence will have a Gothic design. Variance requests for height of this nature have been common in similar subdivisions located in this area of Orange County.
