Request: Special Exception in the R-3 zoning district to allow the addition of a 360 sq. ft. modular office on an existing church property.

Hearing: Staff explained the inconsistency between the current zoning of the property and the Future Land Use designation assigned by the Comprehensive Plan. It is for that reason that the current application is before the BZA. Staff noted that with the inclusion of some added landscaping to soften the appearance of the proposed modular building, the use will be compatible with the neighborhood. The applicant's representative noted their agreement with the staff recommendation and the conditions. There being no one present to speak in favor of or opposition to the application, the public hearing was closed. The BZA found that with the conditions recommended by staff, the use would be compatible with the neighborhood, and unanimously voted to recommend approval of the request.
