Summary of the decision

VA-06-01-005 — Angela Looney

Request: NW 1/4 34-22-33 5.6 acres

Decision: Approved

Hearing: The property is a long narrow lot in the Christmas area of East Orange County. The applicant's home is located in the rear half of the property, and a conservation area is located behind it. This is the reason why the barn must be located in front of the house. The barn will be located at least 80 feet back from the road in a location where a previous home had been located; that spot still has water and electrical hookup for the proposed barn.

Based on the nature and character of the area and the unique setup of the property, the BZA agreed this request met the Variance criteria. There was no opposition to this request.
