Request: To reduce the dollar amount of letter of credit/performance bond of $611,000.00 as required by condition of approval by BZA on August 3, 2000. (NOTE: On 8/3/00, the BZA granted a Special Exception on the property to allow an air curtain incinerator on a temporary basis).

Hearing: The applicant is requesting a reduction of the letter of credit/performance bond amount from $611,000 to $112,000. Staff had met with the applicant on numerous occasions and concurs with the applicant's documentation. The original amount was based on the amount of materials that existed on-site in August of 2000. Since then the applicant has removed some of the materials. The new performance bond amount was accepted by staff as being sufficient to cover the costs of clean-up if necessary. There was no opposition.
