Action: A. GROUNDBREAKING

ACTION: (T-1:22 PM) County Administrator Monica Cepero announced that the groundbreaking for the grandstands and World Cup press conference will be held at Broward Central Regional Park on February 13 at 11:00 a.m. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)

B. CONGRATULATIONS

ACTION: (T-1:23 PM) County Administrator Monica Cepero congratulated Film Commissioner Sandy Lighterman and team for Greater Fort Lauderdale being ranked second on Movie Maker Magazine’s 2024 list of best places to live and work as a movie maker. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)

C. BLACK HISTORY MONTH

ACTION: (T-1:23 PM) County Administrator Monica Cepero shared that unique educational programming is available through the library system in celebration of Black History Month and encouraged everyone to explore <https://broward.org/library> for more information. In addition, Administrator Cepero discussed participation in the MLK, Jr. Parade, activities and displays and noted that a bus wrap commemorating BHM is highlighted in the County Administrator’s video released yesterday.
