Summary of the decision
VA-01-10-084 — John Henns
Request: Variance in R-CE zone to erect 960 sq. ft. detached accessory building (to be used for storage) prior to construction of the principal building. (NOTE: Applicant's residence is located on adjacent parcel to the rear).
Decision: Approved
Hearing: The applicant owns two one-acre parcels - one vacant lot (Parcel A) fronting the road, and a "flag" lot (Parcel B) to the rear abutting the lake. Mr. Henn's home is located on Parcel B. He needs more storage space, but does not have sufficient room on Parcel B due to the septic tank location, and the fact his neighbors do not want him having an accessory building blocking their view of the lake. He is unsure whether or not he will sell or maintain ownership of Parcel A, but wanted to maintain the integrity of the division of the two parcels. He agreed with the condition imposed by the BZA. There was no opposition at the public hearing.
