Summary of the decision

3/2/2000 #1 — LUCILLE VERHOEST - MARCH 2, 2000

Request: (SW 1/4 of SW 1/4 23-22-27 Tract Size: 50 ft. x 140 ft.

Decision: Approved

Hearing: The applicant is trying to resolve a violation caught by Code Enforcement during routine inspection of the area. The property is located in a small, older neighborhood located just north of West Colonial Drive, in the Winter Garden area.

The property is an unique situation in that the house was constructed way to the back of the lot, leaving a large front yard and very little back yard. There is no room in the back yard to fit any type of recreational amenity.

The applicant stated the pool is for her children. She stated she hired a contractor, who told her no permit was required and proceeded to erect the pool.

The pool is aesthetically-pleasing and does not intrude the neighbors' line of sight. There was no opposition present at the public hearing on this request.
