Hearing: The applicant proposes to build a game and guest room addition onto the rear of his house. The addition will be 25 feet from the rear property line in lieu of 35 feet. Staff received 6 commentaries in favor and 4 in opposition. At the hearing, the applicant provided 70 letters in support of his request. The BZA addressed the opposition concerns, stating that it was important that the applicant understands the homeowner has to deal with any deed and/or homeowner's restrictions, and the county only addresses county policy and regulations. The BZA also concluded the request was practical in that there was a 8-foot block wall at the rear property line, and the property immediately behind the wall was vacant land. Staff recommended approval with a second condition that was added during the hearing.
