Hearing: The applicant's proposal is to replace a sign within a planter adjacent to the road that was destroyed by last year's hurricanes. The original sign was installed with a property line setback in lieu of the centerline setback, which went into effect a couple of years ago.

Hoffner Road is being widened from a two-lane to a four-lane road. However, the subject sign will not be affected as the land for widening will be taken from the opposite site of the road.

Without the Variance approval, the applicant would have to place the sign deep into the property, in the middle of the parking lot. The sign is aesthetically pleasing and is well below the copy area requirements. There was no opposition to this request.
