Request: Variance in the P-D zoning district to construct single family residence 19.4 ft. from rear property

Hearing: The applicant is requesting a variance in a P-D zoning district to permit reducing the rear setback from 20 ft. to 19.6 ft. Staff explained that due to the design of the street network, the lot in question is not able to accommodate every unit the builder has to offer, and that the issue is only specific to the rear right corner of the unit. Given the size of the reduction, it will be virtually imperceptible. The applicant indicated that they were in agreement with the staff recommendation and the conditions as presented. There being no one in the audience to speak for or against the item, the public hearing was closed. The BZA found that this request is the minimum necessary, and was not self-created.
