Request: Special Exception in R-1A zone to add the following uses to existing religious and educational facility: a) 1,800 sq. ft. recreation building; b) swimming and wading pools; c) 468 sq. ft. opened pavilion; and d) outdoor play fields (already existing). (NOTE: Uses a, b, and c, will be located adjacent to the east property line next to River Park Subdivision).

Hearing: The Staff Report and Recommendation is located on Pages _____ The applicant wants to install a pavilion, outdoor swimming and wading pools and a recreation building. The site is currently being used as a religious use and a school. The proposed improvements are to complement the existing uses. A property owner to the north spoke in opposition. He had concerns about privacy and noise. The BZA felt the proposed uses were typical of religious and educational uses and required the applicant to install a landscape buffer adjacent to the proposed improvements and adjacent to the property owner to the north who spoke in opposition.
