Request: Variances in the C-2 zoning district as follows: 1) To allow a 6 ft. high chain link fence with 1 ft. of barbed wires with 6 ft. high gates with 1 ft. of barbed wires within the clear view triangle. 2) To allow an 8 ft. high chain link fence with 1 ft. of barbed wires within the clear view triangle. Hearing: SYNOPSIS: Staff described the proposal, including the location of the property, the site plan, including the location of the existing fencing and gates, and photos of the site. Staff provided an analysis of the six (6) criteria and the reasons for a recommendation for approval. Staff noted that no comments were received in favor or in opposition to the request. The applicant agreed was present and had nothing further to add. There was no one in attendance to speak in favor or in opposition to the request. The BZA unanimously recommended approval of the Variance by a 5-0 vote, with two absent, subject to the five (5) conditions found in the staff report.
