Request: Special Exception in R-1A (single family-7,500 sq. ft. lots) zone to construct a 3,500 sq. ft. child daycare center for up to 65 children (NOTE: Applicant is proposing a one (1) story 3,500 sq. ft. daycare building. The building will be 77 ft. from Goldenrod Road and 15 ft. from Bacchus Gardens Subdivision to the north).

Hearing: The Staff Report and Recommendation is located on Pages____ The applicant wants to build a one-story child day care center. The facility will have up to 65 children and 10 instructors. The instructors will work in shifts. Staff gave an overview of the request, including a land use analysis of the immediate area. Staff concluded a day center would be reasonable on a major arterial roadway such as Goldenrod Road, provided adequate conditions were imposed. The applicant presented his request. He stated he wanted to provide a service to local families and felt this site was a proper location for a day care center. The BZA concluded the proposed use was reasonable at this location. There was no opposition at the hearing.
