Request: (SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 30-22-27 Tract Size: 1.12 acres)

Hearing: The applicant wants to build a 4-car detached garage in the rear of his property 1,344 sq. ft. in floor area in lieu of 1,000 sq. ft. and 18 ft. in height in lieu of 15 ft. The garage will be utilized for three (3) cars and a pop-up camper as well as garden supplies and tools.

The subject property is 1.12 acres in size. Said structure will be located 204.6 ft. from the front property line, 135 ft. from the normal high water elevation (NHWE) of Lake Johns, and above the 100 year flood elevation zone for the subject property. Architectural design standards and setback requirements as set forth for detached accessory buildings pursuant to the Orange County Code will be met. The Orange County Environmental Protection Division reviewed this application and submitted comments that were incorporated into staff?s recommended conditions of approval.
