Request: Variance in A-1 (agricultural) zone to allow detached accessory building to remain with 4,500 sq. ft. of area in lieu of 3,000 sq. ft. (NOTE: Building will be used to store greenhouse supplies, household equipment and antique cars).

Decision: Approved

Hearing: The applicant is requesting a variance approval to allow the existing storage building to remain. No new construction is proposed. The applicant was originally advised he did not need a permit for the structure since it was used for agricultural purposes. It was discovered that the building was also used for household storage as well. Since the building exceeded the size limitations, a variance was required. Staff advised the BZA the structure was approximately 700 feet away from the public roadway. Plus, six (6) of his adjacent neighbors submitted letters of no objection. The BZA concluded the request was not injurious to the general public. There was no opposition.
