Summary of the decision
SE-06-09-005 — MISSION OF HOPE WORSHIP CENTER
Decision: Approved
Hearing: The applicant requests to use an existing office building for a religious use facility and variance to allow unpaved parking. The applicant raised concerns that a revised site-plan may be submitted at a later date due to retention pond placement at the site may change the location of parking spaces. Staff informed the applicant should any deviations from the site plan submitted occur, the Zoning Manager would review and make a determination whether the change requires another BZA hearing. To lessen the impact of a non-residential intrusion to nearby homes staff requested a 6-foot vinyl fence be installed along the southerly and westerly property lines. In addition there would be no outdoor activities at the site. The BZA concluded similar requests have been approved in the past. The Board unanimously approved the request with conditions.
One member from the public spoke in support and there was no opposition present at the hearing.
