Hearing: The applicant is requesting additional copy area on his pole sign. The existing sign is maxed out with copy area. Rather than negotiate with the landlord of the center, the applicant is requesting a signage variance. Staff concluded the request did not comply with the zoning variance criteria and if this request was approved it would cause other tenants in shopping centers to request excessive signage. The BZA agreed.
