Mr. Ramsdell stated he recently adopted his nephew, and the additional space is needed for this reason. The applicant stated that due to the lot being on the cul-de-sac, there is a indented curvature in the front of the lot that made it necessary to locate the house further into the rear setback area than other homes in the subdivision. The BZA saw this as a unique situation and therefore recommended approval of the request. There was no opposition.
