Request: Special Exception in the R-1A zoning district to convert existing 2 story residence into a child daycare center for up to 100 children. (Note: On September 6, 2012, the BZA approved this site for a religious use facility with seating for up to 150 worshipers. The church use is no longer existing at the site).

Hearing: Staff noted that the subject was located on a four-lane divided principal arterial road which carries very high volumes of traffic. The subject property is over an acre in size. Staff advised the BZA the applicant will be responsible for making any improvements necessary to S. Goldenrod Rd. Staff found that the use will property blend into the neighborhood, and recommended approval subject to conditions. The applicant agreed with the staff recommendation and the proposed conditions. The BZA added a condition to address the hours of operation.
